Reeder 3 App Reviews

Perfection

One of the best RSS reader on the App Store! Now has finally the iPhone 6 optimization! And landscape! Thanx!

Bug in Facebook sharing popup

App is great, but theres a bug that makes Facebook popup disappear when sharing.

Bug

Absence of cloud services ( icloud, google drive, onedrive) for syncing the starred articles!

Feature Stopped Working

My favorite feature, which made Reeder extremely efficient, was setting a swipe to add to Safari’s Reading List. A couple months ago this feature stopped working, I reported it with no response. So 2 stars until the feature returns. Anyone know another RSS reader with this feature?

Awesome

Great design and layout with all the important features present. The ability to mark as read below / above is nice, too, as most apps dont support additional mark as read functionality outside of clearing an entire feed. Possibly the best available RSS reader, and would definitely recommend.

Great RSS Reader for iPhone and iPad

Have been a loyal user since the original Reeder days when Google Reader was still a thing. Still an incredible app that is very beautiful. The recent changes to the iPads "Mark all as read" button seem a little strange, but besides this Im a very happy user!

Generally good

Id rather *only* use the native sharing system and turn off Reeders custom sharing options altogether. Also, I keep getting 3D touch and long press confused. More so in this app than others.

Great update

I love the ability to use the new iOS9 webview, when it works, frequently it wont load articles.

Poor Button Placement

This update moved a lot of buttons around with seemingly little to no forethought to ergonomics. The next article button is the button I use the most, and its dead center on the bottom of the screen, making it very uncomfortable to press while using on my iPad Air. I usually power through 200+ articles on my commute, now by the end of it my hand is hurting because there is no easy way to hold the iPad and press that button. The best layout was way back in version 1 when the buttons were on a side bar. This feels like it was designed for a phone and scaled up for a tablet.

A great app that I use daily

Not a big fan of writing reviews, but I gotta support this,I use both iOS and OS X version of reeder to sync all my RSS feeds. Reeder has a elegant navigation throughout the app and provides a simple yet powerful interface.

Best app ever but...

The new position of the "Mark all as read" completely changes how the Reeder must be used. Please allow us to choose between right and left corners. If you do that, that will be a 5 star app again for me.

Only 1 complaint, but a big deal: poor button placement

I love Reeder and have used it since Version 1! Its a must have app for my iPad and my Mac, but they keep making it more and more ergonomically incorrect. The next article button being set dead center on the iPad is incredibly awkward to hit. I was no fan of the off-center location of version 2, but it was better than this. The most upsetting part is that they had this right in version 1. The button used to be half way up vertically rather than on the bottom when using the iPad in portrait. Please make this a setting and I will review it with a 5 star rating!

Great, but could be better

It would be great if it can become simply a rss reader like FeeddlerRSS, I simply like it as a fast reading tool instead of loading-maximum-restrict app. It will get 5 stars if it become that way in my opinion. Im now using it only as a Read-it-later reading tool, it could do more then that.

Not Great for the Price

As functional as Reeder 3 is, it is severely lacking in customization options. You cannot select a default subscription to jump into when the app loads, and youre unable to customize your view type for article lists. I would like to see large images while looking over the various headlines in my feeds. These are both such seemingly simple things that have been omitted in a rather pricey application. Also, FEEDLY isnt pulling in all content from feeds. Only one or two articles for a given month (which should have hundreds). The app is gorgeous, though. Great 3D Touch implementation. ...but the icon is pretty lame.

Great app, but...

Why did this current version moved the icon to "mark all as read" to the right side of the feed list? I preferred to have it on the left, but at least, give us a choice. Nevertheless, still a great app!

3.0 User Experience a Mess

As many others have mentioned, moving the Read All button is a huge issue (left/right toggle is a must for this kind of change). Also swiping left in article no longer brings up Readability and there is no ability to configure the action either (you have to click the icon). These issues on a 6(s) and 6(s) Plus let alone any iPad make the best news reader an absolute chore to use. I sincerely hope updates are in the making (and the developer has always been good about this) but am surprised by some of the drastic changes to very basic functionality and don’t understand the reasons.

Just So-so

Not the worst, but definitely not the best. Over-priced app.

Big battery killer

Kill the app when youre not using it or itll kill your battery.

Great update

Still my go to rss app.

Safari View Controller extension

Safari View Controller for in-app browsing is broken. It just shows a blank page, nothing loaded.
